You are responsible for Corporate tax matters of all entities. Most of them have an international presence. You have an eye for detail and always strive for efficiency in tax processes.

Reach your full potential as Indirect Tax Manager

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you are involved in Corporate indirect Tax projects as well as VAT & Customs advisory. You collaborate with other departments such as Finance, IT, Commerce and logistics, external advisors, and (Dutch) tax authorities.

In the role of Indirect Tax Manager, you are part of the Tax team of 5 FTE and are the first point of contact for our business units. You provide support, training and advice to businesses on direct tax processes and new developments. You directly report to the Tax Director.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring tax legislative and regulatory developments and trends and providing pro-active advice;
  • Assisting in further developing and maintaining the in-house built Tax Engine in the ERP system; 
  • Preparing, consolidating and filing indirect tax returns in multiple jurisdictions (VAT, Excise, Intrastat);
  • Liaising with Tax Authorities in multiple jurisdictions;
  • Interacting and managing relationships with external service providers;
  • Reviewing contracts with clients and suppliers to assess tax issues and flag tax risks and opportunities;
  • Involvement in group tax projects; 
  • Keeping track of outstanding tax payables or receivables;
  • Managing the follow-up and implementation of indirect tax law changes in the ERP system and our way of working;
  • Supporting the business on Customs matters.

This is you

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you can oversee processes and analyse them for continuous improvement. You don’t like to sit back, but take the initiative and bring ideas to the table. You are accurate, result-driven, service-minded, and you enjoy working in a small specialist team with a high level of independence.

You:

  • completed a degree at university, college or higher-education level in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics;
  • have 3-5 years of working experience. Some In-house experience is a plus;
  • are a team player, who can work independently;
  • have strong analytical skills, but you prefer a practical approach to challenging tasks;
  • are a strong communicator for the business and management;
  • can handle a high level of (organisational) complexity;
  • have the ability to work effectively with diverse and remote teams;
  • have a good command of Dutch and English language at business level. A third language is a plus (such as German, Spanish, French, Arabic).
