Capi’s omnichannel strategy live at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
Hoofddorp, 02 July 2019— Royal Capi-Lux (“Capi”), the airport retail brand of B&S Group, launched its omnichannel strategy at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, offering customers the convenience of home delivery. This launch at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol follows the successful launch in the Capi store at Frankfurt Airport in November last year. Implementing the omnichannel strategy in the Capi concept, contributes to constant enhancement of customer shopping experience.
Capi focuses on ensuring a trendsetting and inspiring shopping environment by integrating the latest innovations. Launching the home delivery service at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was therefore a most logical next step. As of the beginning June, travellers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can enjoy the convenience of home delivery in the Capi stores situated in Lounge 1 and Lounge 2 at the airport. This service is available for all products at the main electronics stores at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Moreover, the products can be shipped to nearly all EU member states. Travellers can shop the latest products and have their purchase delivered at home when they return from their trip. This creates the perfect solution for consumers that want to buy products that are inconvenient to take along while travelling or that are not allowed in carry-on luggage.
Capi’s omnichannel strategy is tailored to location and store. In both stores at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, dedicated space is created for the Home Delivery concept. Capi even extended their assortment especially for this concept, with products such as Smeg small domestic appliances, Harman Kardon Citation and the Meural: a modern digital art frame. A selection of products is displayed in store for the ultimate shopping experience. Moreover, all available products can be viewed in the touchscreen enabled catalogue and Capi staff is there to assist customers with their home delivery purchase.
The omnichannel approach of Capi adds value to the customer journey by further extending the possible moments of purchase. Adding to this home delivery concept, Capi offers travellers a selected online preview of its consumer electronics assortment on airport level, with the option to reserve a product online through their website before departure and collect it in the store of preference.
This approach further enhances customer convenience in an inspiring and surprising shopping environment, underlining Capi’s leading position in airport retail.
