Hoofddorp, November 14, 2011 – Capi, the market leader in electronic retail at international airports, has the unique GPS running SportWatch in store which is powered by TomTom and developed in co-production with Nike.
Marco Houweling, finance director of TomTom, and Capi Electronics CEO Peter Wiggers, both run with this special watch - see photo.
”We are proud to be the exclusive selected retailer for this innovative product,” says Wiggers. “Products like this fit very well with our own innovative concept of the electronic stores at both the landside and airside of international airports.”
Think Less, Run Better
The Nike+ SportWatch GPS is simple to use. Just strap it to your wrist and start running - the watch will start recording data that you can use to track your progress. With just three buttons you control all functions during the run, tapping the screen to mark laps and activate the backlight. You can personalise the data that you want to see during your run, so you get instant feedback rather than having to wait until your run has finished.
The USB Connector is built into the watch strap, so that you can connect the watch straight to your computer and easily upload run data or recharge the battery.
Enhanced Accuracy
Combining GPS by TomTom and the Nike+ shoe-based sensor, you can start tracking your run instantly, and get accurate speed and distance information whether you are inside or outdoors - even if the GPS signal gets interrupted. The Nike+ SportWatch GPS tracks time, distance, pace, heart rate and calories burned. It also shows your mapped routes, with data on your speed and changes in elevation on Nikeplus.com. The watch provides heart rate information via the Polar Wearlink+ transmitter Nike+, which is sold separately.
