Double Frontier nomination for Capi
Hoofddorp, July 17, Royal Capi-Lux, market leader in electronics retail at airports, and its business-to-business division, Capi Trading, have both been nominated for an award by Frontier Magazine. Royal Capi-Lux was nominated for Best Specialty Concept of the Year, Capi Trading has received the nomination in the category Best Supplier of the Year. The awards ceremony will be held at the TFWA World Exhibition on October 24th in Cannes.
Frontier Magazine, launched in 1984, serves the travel-retail industry. Each year, the magazine organises an awards ceremony for retailers and suppliers in the travel industry. The entries are judged by a panel of top executives in the industry. The winners will be announced at the ceremony in Cannes, during the self-proclaimed Oscars of the travel-retail industry at the hotel Martinez.
Peter Wiggers, CEO of Royal Capi-Lux is very pleased with the nominations: "We are proud that both Royal Capi-Lux and Capi Trading have been nominated. This is confirmation of our leading position in this industry. It is especially gratifying that Capi Trading has been nominated because Capi Trading has a different approach compared to other wholesalers of electronics. Capi Trading brings all the retail experience of Capi-Lux to its business plus has the added advantage of a great value for money brand - MiTone products. We are glad to see this recognized with this nomination." Peter Wiggers is looking forward to the ceremony but concedes that the competition is stiff: "however, we are confident of our own capabilities and, therefore, are looking forward to the ceremony".
